Meet the teacher

Hi, I’m Irina. I’ve been interested in languages for as long as I can remember. I studied English at school. I studied it at university. On paper, I “knew” English.


But if a foreigner stopped me on the street and asked,

“Excuse me, do you speak English?” I would always say:

“No, sorry.” Even after all those years of studying.


Not because I didn’t understand English. But because I was scared to speak it. I froze. I didn’t trust my words. I didn’t want to sound stupid. And honestly, it was frustrating and embarrassing.

At some point, that changed. I slowly learned how to start responding. I stopped translating everything in my head. I stopped running away from conversations. Later, I went through the same process again with Spanish.


Today, I can speak English and Spanish freely. With strangers. In social situations. In real life. And it's not because I’m special. And not because I learned “more grammar”. In fact, the most important thing I learned along the way: You don’t need to know more English to speak it. You need to learn how to use what you already know with real people.


Once you understand what actually blocks you, and once you practice the right thing, speaking stops feeling like a test and starts feeling natural. That's what inspired me to create the Conversation Lab

Conversation Lab is a 6-week program. Each week has a clear focus and specific conversation scenarios, so you always know what you’re practicing.

Conversation Lab is for adults who already understand English but struggle to speak it in real situations.

If you can follow conversations, movies, or podcasts, but freeze when it’s your turn to talk, this course is for you.

It’s not for beginners (A1–A2).

You don’t need hours of homework. The most important part is showing up and participating in the sessions.


Consistency matters more than study time.

These are not traditional grammar lessons. There are no worksheets, no multiple-choice questions.

We focus on using the English you already have in real conversations. Grammar appears only when it’s truly necessary and always in context.

You can choose one of two options:


1) 100% online. All sessions happen online with guided practice and real conversation work.

2) Hybrid (online + in-person). You combine online sessions with weekly in-person meetings, where you practice speaking English in real social situations with real people.


Both options follow the same structure and objectives.
